Our popular library is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

It holds a huge collection of photographs, documents and newspapers relating to Salford’s past. It is increasingly popular for family history research, delving into the history of the houses, school projects and community heritage in Salford.

Local History Library

Our ground floor café overlooks the beautiful Peel Park and the University of Salford’s Peel Building. It’s the ideal place to meet colleagues, study or socialise with family and friends.

Opening Times: Weekdays from 9.30am – 4.00pm, weekends from 11.30am – 4.00pm
